Education

Education

The Education Project is to build awareness and engagement of school students with the agricultural industry. NT Farmers are increasing awareness and engagement through excursions to farms, agribusinesses and research farms, school garden programs such as Food Ladder in Katherine, agritech STEM workshops in-schools, NT specific education content relating to agriculture and teacher professional development.

The industry including farmers and individuals benefit from engaged schools and communities in a number of ways such as;  support for locally grown produce and producers, awareness around the challenges of farming and NT food and fibre production, understanding Ag is a growing and highly innovative and technical sector with a range of diverse careers, increased long-term participation in the Ag labour market and development of the Australian Ag industry more broadly.
