NT Farmers Association are excited to announce that Early Bird Registrations are now open for the upcoming Northern Australia Food Futures Conference, to be held on the 8th and 9th of April 2025 in Darwin.

“The Food Futures Conference is Australia’s leading conference on agricultural development in the North,” says CEO of NT Farmers Mr Greg Troughton. “Next year’s event will feature a huge range of speakers, exhibitors, panel workshops and networking opportunities.”

“We have a proud history of delivering this successful biennial event, and are thrilled to be partnering with other key Northern Australia industries bodies AgForce Queensland (AgForce), Ord River District Co-operative (ORDCO) and Kimberley Pilbara Cattlemen’s Association (KPCA) in 2025. This year, we are excited to offer special reduced rates for financial members of our partnering organisations, enhancing the event’s value and accessibility for our members.”

The theme for the 2025 Conference is ‘Innovative Agribusiness in Northern Australia: Nurturing Natural Assets for Future Growth’ and focuses on developing new and creative approaches to agriculture in the northern region of Australia.

“The Conference will bring together industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers to discuss cutting-edge strategies for responsible agriculture in the unique environment of Northern Australia, emphasising the importance of preserving and enhancing Northern Australia’s natural resources for responsible development and prosperity for future generations,” says Mr Troughton.

“My staff are working hard behind the scenes to create a unique experience for participants.  One initiative is the introduction of a ‘Virtual Satchel’, a concept which embodies our theme of embracing technology and sustainability. By adopting this approach, we aim to not only minimise waste and preserve resources but also create an eco-friendly and cost-effective event. This significant step towards reducing our environmental footprint is essential for upholding the social license of the Conference now and into the future”.

The Conference will showcase a variety of innovative agribusinesses in Northern Australia, by including ancillary events that complement the main program and theme. Ancillary activities will include NT commodity and market tours and will take place on either side of the Conference from Saturday, April 5th to Saturday, April 12th, 2025.
